Chicago - Recommended Restaurants: Custom House

500 S. Dearborn St.
Chicago, IL 60605

Located in the Hotel Blake in Printer's Row, Custom House , owned by the Spring Restaurant Group, is an American restaurant located in the heart of Chicago's history. The menu has more recently begun to see changes. While the entirety of changes are not predicted to be finished until mid-November, many older items will be accompanied by new dishes created by chef, Aaron Deal.

The style and creativity with Custom House's design creates a warm modern environment accompanied by an enticing and diverse menu. You can count on feasting on only the freshest ingredients and sipping on various options of boutique wines.

Try the 3 course pre-theatre menu for $46, offered nightly at 5pm and 5:30pm seatings.
Due to the ever-changing menu, Custom House is a spot you can continuously visit without tire. I recommend the Wagyu Beef Tartare paired with white asparagus, potato chips, and fried farm egg, or the Quail roaseted with onion beignet and caramel balsamic for the first course. As a main course, I enjoyed the Bone In Short Rib with horseradish cream puffs, as well as the Maine Scallops with wild mushrooms and shredded prosciutto. The third course, dessert, is a little harder to choose just one or two options from. Try them all!!
